DAMN YOU JARED!

Howdy kids.

Yeah, I thought I'd posted more recently than a week ago...*shrug*

My weekend was good. I went back to Rockwood to eat food and see people. Drop-in was canceled due to sickness on the part of Andrew, so Dave, Eric and I congregated at Rebecca's house, where I was presented with my birthday present. A fish!

One of them...Fightin' fish. He's cool. I named him Lord Jabu-Jabu. Sometimes we fight crime, when Jared's not looking. Sometimes we -commit- crime, when Jared IS looking. Magical!

He currently resides atop my television in the main room. And there he shall stay, overlooking his kingdom. Judging the peons that scurry about with their pointless existence (Jared).

Ummm...Yeah. So Friday night was fun. We hung out, ate pizza, drank Coke, and watched Doctor Strange. I'd seen it already, but it's bitchin'. Everybody enjoyed it. Even Lord Jabu-Jabu.

Then I went home, watched all five episodes of Afro Samurai on my mother's laptop, and went to bed on the most uncomfortable mattress ever. It's half the size of my current mattress, hard as Nate during a boobstorm (I make me laugh), and squeaks if I move even the slightest. Surely it is a travesty to beds and sleepers everywhere. I tried to find an old priest and a young priest to see if I could get it unpossessed (I assume discomfort goes hand in hand with demonic possession), but all I could find was Garth. And he had no idea what the fuck was going on.

On Saturday I hung out with Eric. And watched a bunch of Trigun. Trigun rocks. I got to about the point where Nicholas D. Wolfwood is introduced. He's pretty much my favourite anime character ever. He carries around a giant cross, and is a preacher of sorts. But the cross contains many guns. And IS a gun. And is a bazooka! Madness!

Watched Eric do a bunch of Battlegrounds on WoW, which was surprisingly fun.

Then on Sunday I came back here and brought some more stuff. I forget what I brought.

Uhhhh...I forget the last couple days.

Jared and I finished watching season one of Heroes! It was freaking awesome. I'm excited for season two to begin, but also sad because I'll have to watch it once a week with commercial breaks. *sighz*

Jared and I are also working our way through Popular. And I'm playing a lot of video games. Last night Jared went to a baseball game with a guy he worked for, said guy's girlfriend, and another girl that had a car. They stopped by here, and seemed cool. Then I was left alone for the rest of the night to play Budokai 3 and Lumines all night. Which I did. Then Jared got back and we hung out for a bit. I think we discussed how technology scares me, and I made a bunch of crap up about data packets being semi-sentient and wearing Viking helmets. Good times.

Growlanser is out tomorrow. Or...Today? Yeah, I guess we've past the midnight mark. Today. Growlanser: Heritage of War is only running one print, so I'm grabbing it now. I thought it was out on Tuesday, but nope. *shrug*. I left my mom money to get it, and hopefully I'll be able to pick it up soon.

Yeah. Jared, Girl-Jared, and I just watched my copy of I, Robot. I freaking love that movie. I wanna have a Will Smith marathon. Then she missed the bus, so she's crashing here tonight I guess. I wasn't paying attention. After the movie, I played some Lumines, got a new high score but no new skins (high score currently...sixty thousand something.), and then watched Snakes on a Plane. Just because I could. IT WAS AWESOME. It's always awesome.

Jared got me hooked on Subway, too. First Heroes, now Subway. Sneaky bastard.

I'd never actually had a sub before. I found that most of the ingredients frightened me. And getting one without most of those ingredients seemed as dull as a sandwich. I haven't eaten one of those in many years. But we stopped in at a Mac's, where we were hit with an intoxicating smell. It had a Subway nestled within it. We looked at the selection of energy drinks, found it lacking (I can't find a goddamn place around here that sells either N05 or Cobra. BTW, Cobra is DELICIOUS. Green apple! Green FUCKING apple!), and then Jared decided to get a sub. I was afraid, but decided to see what they had. After a few minutes of discussion, it seemed that there was one that suited me well. Meatball marinara or however the fuck that last word is spelled. I wasn't sure what the sauce was exactly until Jared assured me that it was a simple tomato sauce, the same used in the pizzas he used to make. I accepted it and moved on. We got our subs. Swiss cheese. Some kind of bread that I can't remember the name of. Two cookies. And a Coke that I drank in one go.

We went back the next day. Or was it the day after? Yeah, I don't remember. Either way, that shit is delicious.

Scott's coming by this weekend. We're going to play War of the Ring. And hopefully my present will be in. I'm still psyched for it, whatever it may be.

Oh, and I also successfully ran through the evil campaign of Heroes of Might and Magic 2. Without cheating once! Huzzah! When I ran it with good, I cheated my ass off, and still managed to only beat my evil campaign by twenty days, and I took at least three months more than I needed to on level two (I was up to month seven or so by the time I finally ended it).

I really hope mankind has learned from our countless science fiction movies when it comes to robots. If we build 'em well enough, they'll fuck us over in the end. They're cold heartless bastards, sometimes with built-in lasers or buzzsaws. And dammit, we can't fight that!

They're like thinking zombies that won't go down with a headshot and can fire lasers from their eyes/wrists!

So a couple days ago I woke up and heard something. It sounded like sharp intakes of breath. I was thoroughly confused. Jared was supposed to be at school, but in my tired state I couldn't help but wonder "Are he and Girl-Jared gettin' it on in the next room? Awkward!".

Turns out, it was construction from down the street. How I mistook that for sharp intakes of breath, I will never know. I closed my window and went back to sleep. Eleven is too early to be concious.

Anyways, I think that about wraps it up for this one. I'll try to get in a good rant soon, about something. I'll decide which when we get there.

Until next time,
Hey baby...How 'bout we go back to my place, and I'll extract your ADAM? Awwwww yeah.

730 Posts Later...

Holy buttsex, Batman!

My blog, as of yesterday, is now three years old. Yes, it's been three years since I sat down and decided "I'ma start me up one of them bloggy thingies". AND LOOK AT WHAT IT HAS BECOME!

Truly I am a God now.

And yet that doesn't help my download speed...I'm in the midst of downloading Heroes of Might and Magic 2. Old game, but good game. I've already downloaded it. Twice. One didn't work, the other worked great, and now this one because I forgot there was an expansion pack. I've already got Heroes 3 Complete, and Heroes 4 won't run on this compy. I know, I've tried it.

So yeah, apparently 3DO went under. Like, a while ago. Like, 2003 ago. WHAT?!

I never heard about that. So there will be no more Heroes games...Sadness envelops my heart.

Yeah, I'm just waiting for Jared to get back from school. His class should be done now, but he's not yet back from the walking. When he gets back, I plan on announcing our dinner plans. CHICKEN WINGS AND RICE. I'm very excited for it. I just remembered last night that we had a box of wings in the freezer. And we've got not one, but two bags of rice for use in my automatic rice cooker. So yeah. Then we'll probably watch Heroes or Popular.

I can't believe I've been doing this for three years. That's hundreds and hundreds of posts. Rantings, ravings, ups, downs, and everything in between.

My GOD what a waste of time. But hey, people seem to read it, so I'll keep doing it. Even now, with my sporadic posting (I don't like having to use Notepad to write my blog posts.), I'm managing a decent number of hits per day. It's not up there like it used to be when I advertised and such, but it still surprises me that so many people willingly choose to read these words that I write.

Oh, Eric misses me. HA! He didn't think he would, and now he's Nateless. Aside from my parents, he'd be the one that would feel my absence the most, since he was the one I was always hanging out with in Rockwood.

Jared has finally begun to use the PS2. He played some Katamari last night with Megan, then he and I played a Galactic Conquest match so I could show him the ropes of Battlefront 2. He took to it well, and even exceeded me in one match. We crushed the droid bastards beneath our awesome.

Uhhhh...Yeah.

My dad found the dog. Just like he thought, poor Dublin had drowned. Now he's buried down there, which is probably where he'd want to be buried. I'm just glad that no animals got to his corpse before my dad found it.

There's already talk of getting a new puppy. It's my dad's way of moving on. And personally, I think it would help Tanner get through the process of losing his fellow feline. And yes, I KNOW feline means cat, but the alliteration was too powerful for me to resist.

I wonder how Megaman would adapt to a new puppy...

It'd be interesting.

So I'm planning on stopping in back in Rockwood this weekend. Come in Friday, come back Sunday. See the guys at youth group, eat food that didn't come from a microwave.

Which reminds me, I need to find a place that serves chicken in the area. I was watching Popular season one the other night, early on in the season, when Lily is working at the fast food place, "Mr. Cluck's". And DAMN that chicken looked tasty. So I want to find something in the area. If I have to walk, then I'll walk. I'd settle for a KFC, though I'd prefer normal chicken probably more often than I'd want it fried. Although I do love KFC...Either way, I still haven't explored the region except a walk with Scott and Jared on Saturday night, and all I remember from that was cute drunk girls saying hello to us, and a dark school playground where we discussed a Heroes-based RP board.

But I think Jared's gonna be home soon. I'm gonna go make it seem like I've barely moved all day.

Until next time,
God I wish I'd packed some Tylenol or something.

The Big Move

Hey folks, sorry it's been a while since my last update, but I've been busy moving out and all.

Sooo yeah.

Youth group on Friday was fun. Hung out with Greg beforehand after my dad helped me drop off my mattress here, along with some kitchen stuff.

We went to dinner at Harvey's. We being myself, Greg, Melissa, Eric, Dave, and Paul showed up. Dave and I decided to head on over to McDonald's instead. Mostly because I wanted to, as I desired a Coke quite badly, and Harvey's stocked only the bastard cola of pepsi. So we got some food there, brought it back, and I set off Greg's car alarm with my ass.

After a while, we went back into Rockwood to youth group. The karate kids were in there this week for some lame-ass karate thing, so we were in the church to watch Serenity. Unfortunately, we found we had no key, and were locked out for over an hour. But then Peter showed up and we went in and watched Serenity. It was pretty bitchin'. I love that movie with all my heart and soul. It...Completes me.

That night, I slept on the couch, as my mattress was down here already. It was uncomfortable at best. Hell on Earth at worst. But that was mostly due to my brother's iguana trying to gt freaky with the walls of its cage.

So then I woke up the next day, and my dad was already gone for the pond. My mom helped me get all my stuff in the van, and off we went. It took a while. It turns out I have a lot of stuff.

We stopped at Len's Mill. Got some towels and other bathroom supplies. Then we went to the mall. I bought some used PS2 games for their multiplayer. Namely Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires, and Samurai Western. Haven't tried either yet.

AND I BOUGHT A CELL PHONE.

Yeah. Needed one, since we're not getting a land-line. That way, I have a number to put on resumes, where people can contact me and such. Woo for me!

If you wanna call me at some point, whoever you readers are, my number is:

(519) 993-4935.

Yeah, I kept the same last four digits for my cell number as my Rockwood phone number. Well, since 1337 was taken, I didn't really care. It's a Guelph number, so even though I'm in Kitchener, it shouldn't be long distance for anybody to call me from Guelph or Rockwood. I've got unlimited evenings and weekends, so feel free to call me after six or on a weekend. Or just whenever. My parents are pretty much footing the bill until I get a job.

Yeah.

So then I got all my stuff here, and Seth and Scott were here! Seth had to leave to go to work, but Scott hung around pretty much the rest of the weekend. My mom took us grocery shopping and bought us a bunch of food. Haven't gone through much of it.

Then we got my stuff hooked up, and they got me hooked on Heroes. IT'S SO GOOD. Then we went for a walk, saw some drunk girls that were cute and greeted us in a drunken fashion, and bought an ice cream cake. Why a cake, you ask? If you had to ask, I'm sad.

Yesterday was my birthday. Twenty years old. I dunno. For the first half of it, it was pretty great.

We watched Heroes into the wee hours of the morning, then went to bed, got up, staggered around here for a while, and went to lunch at a 50's style diner. It was delicious, and the waitress was cute. Then we went to Sugar Mountain after realizing that Scott couldn't reach his bus on time, and we bought a bunch of candy. It's pretty much the greatest place ever.

Oh, and we met up with Girl-Jared before going to the diner.

Then Scott showed us around the University, which was pretty bitchin'. I put on some fake eyebrows and creepily licked an oversized lollipop. My mom had called earlier to wish me a happy birthday, and while we were on our way to Megan's room so she could grab something, I got a call from my dad which put a damper on my birthday.

One of our dogs, the older of the two, was nowhere to be found. Dublin had gone missing at some point up at the pond. My dad couldn't find him anywhere. He stayed for an extra night to see if he turned up, but it seemed pretty doubtful. I haven't heard anything to suggest otherwise yet, so it can only be assumed that Dublin is dead. Which is a shame...He was my favourite of the dogs. And if he's gone, he'll be missed. My dad thinks he went out swimming and had a heart attack. But I guess we may never know.

He sounded a mixture of sad and drunk when he called me. Tried not to worry me too much, but asked me to call my mother, which I'd have done anyway. So I did. She sounded very sad. In tears. There wasn't really anything I could say that would cheer her up.

After that was over, it got a bit better again. Trying not to think about the dog, I went with the others to take a bus back here, a task which took a while, especially since when we arrived where all the buses congregate, we discovered that the next one would be half an hour. Things were a little tense with the group there for a bit, with some long silences and such, but eventually we discussed what we would do with a million dollars, and various zombie dreams Scott and I had had over the years.

When we got back here, we ended up watching more Heroes, then going to bed. When I got up, Scott had gone back to get to his co-op, Megan had gone to school, and Jared had gone off to class.

The landlord talked to me for about half an hour about various problems that he doesn't want to get around fixing with the house, and showed me some of them. Often said that if something bothers us too much, he'll fix it. Like the doors not having locks (save for the bathroom, of course), or the showerhead leaking. Coming from Rockwood, where I had no doorknob, and had to turn the pipes on from behind so that the cold water would not constantly leak, I'm pretty indifferent to the situation.

Yeah.

Oh, Scott and Jared have also been telling me about a present they got me. Or, more specifically, NOT telling me about it. I know that they've ordered something from Ohio. I know that it would be here now if there hadn't been a death in the family of the company (indicating the fact that it must be a small company), and that they'd also been gone at DragonCon (indicating that it is indeed a very nerdy gift). I expect it in about two weeks, and I'm quite excited.

So yeah. That pretty much sums up everything that's happened to me in the past few days.

I'm gonna go do...Something now. I'll figure out what when it becomes important.

Until next time,
The cake wasn't shaped like a boobie, but it was still delicious.
