No Fillers

Hey guys.

Sorry for the lack of posting lately, but I've pretty much either been swamped with work, playing video games, or drinking. Not that I've been drinking often, maybe once a week, didn't go out the most recent weekend at all. It's fun to hang out with my buddies from work in a less...factorial locale. So yeah.

Not much has changed, although I clocked a lot of hours into Dragon Quest VIII over the weekend. Like, some serious hours. It's literally all I did on Sunday. Which is when my television remote control died...sigh. I'm gonna try to pick up a new universal remote tomorrow. I fuckin' hate having to get up. I rigged up my cane against the tv so that I could press the TV/VIDEO button by applying slight pressure, so that I could switch between television and Dragon Quest. That's how lazy I am.

ISN'T IT GLORIOUS?!!?!!??!?!

Yeah. If I was any more cool, the world would implode...

So yeah, my line at work is basically run by temps right now...

Today, it was James and Jason manning station ten, and pulling all sorts of pranks on the rest of us. YOU BASTARDS. Clint, an ladies man that we met when we started again after the Christmas start-up, was running station thirty. He's hella-cool, and gave me advice on getting the ladies. Then Tamara was running station fifty, and I was on sixty. Two full-time welders were on eighty, and the rest of the stations are robots. So aside from the welders and the robots, it's all temps. So yeah. That's pretty nifty.

The line wasn't running much today, so I was mostly doing my sub-station and talking with Tamara, which was fun. Well, the talking, the sub-station is boring as hell, but needs to be done.

So yeah. I still enjoy my job, and I still gets the monies. I just got eight hundred bucks from two cheques, and I've got another two weeks coming to me, so yeah. Pretty snazzy.

Uhhh...Youth group was fun last week, I got to see people I hadn't seen in a while. Fun stuff.

We had the fire peoples come in and talk to us, and it was surprisingly interesting. I assumed it would be more along the lines of a lecture, considering the whole fire incident, but they just talked about what they did, and showed us their newest firetruck. It was pretty snazzy, actually.

Then we did the whole Timmie's thing, and I enjoyed it greatly. There was a distinct lack of "the ladies", but aside from that it was all very enjoyable.

Uhhh....

So....

Yeah?

I was gonna go to a strip club last weekend, with the guys from work. Jason, James, Clint, possibly even Tamara, but then it dawned on me that I have no idea, so the plans just kinda fell through and I spent the entire weekend clocking mad hours in DQVIII. I had the offer of going to a bar on Saturday night, but instead I watched Johnny Mnemonic with my brother. Good movie, despite Keanu Reeves. Yeah.

So that's basically been my life...Drinking once a week maybe, spending most of my time working, and the rest of it playing video games. Yeah. It's a pretty sad excuse for a life, but at least I'm getting paid for it.

And despite what everybody believed when I first got the job, I do enjoy it, and I intend to keep it as long as they'll let me keep it. So yeah.

GHOST RIDER LOOKS GREAT. I wanna see it. I love Nicholas Cage, and I don't care what anybody else says about him. He is love.

Uhh...

Yeah.

I'm tired, so I think I'm gonna head out now and deal with tomorrow when it gets here.

Until next time,
That is NOT a USB port. I don't even know what that is. It looks like a mouth. I think that's a tooth. I...I...No, no I'm not going to put my finger in there. You do it. You...No, don't actually do it. No, that's a bad idea. OH DEAR GOD NO! OH GOD! YOUR FINGER! IT'S...HOLY SHIT! THAT COMPUTER JUST ATE YOUR FINGER! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?! I TOLD YOU NOT TO! OH GOD! OH FUCK! I'M GETTING THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!

Advance Wars Blues

For the love of God, would somebody, ANYBODY, please help me find and purchase copies of Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, both for the Gameboy Advance? I NEED THEM. I NEED THEM BADLY.

And I'm pretty loaded, so if anybody can help me find copies of these two (I need both) games for sale, I'd be willing to pay pretty much whatever, and I'm sure I could give some money to whoever finds me the games for the buying...And note that pointing me in the vague direction of Ebay does NOT count, as I don't really have a way to order anything off of there....

But yeah, I've been going crazy looking for ways to buy these games lately, and it's proven to be far too difficult...So if you have copies for sale, or you know how to get them, I'd be much obliged.

Amazon.com has some, but apparently they won't ship out of the U.S. Amazon.ca, of course, has none. Bah!

Oh, and if you do point me in the direction of Ebay, but...say, have your own account that you could put the games on, I'm sure I could pay whatever etc. blah blah blah.

You get the point, Nate want games. And not just ROMs...I want actual copies of the game that I can carry around and be all "oh yeah, playin' on ma DS" with.

Sorry if the post is kinda frantic and contains no blogworthy information, but I really friggin' want these games. So if you can help me find the games, great, if not, tell somebody else to help me. Eventually somebody will be able to.

I'll try to pop out a real post soon...

Until next time,
Curse you, Advance Wars, for not being owned by me!

Seahorse

So as it turns out, it's ten hour shifts rather than eight hour shifts at work this week, so I'm working essentially three until one in the morning. I get home, and I'm pretty much too tired to bother with anything else. This is only gonna be a quick post, 'cause I don't have much to say.

Yeah. Work's been going good. So far, no ninjas have shown up and tried to kill me, and only one samurai has. And that turned out to be a misunderstanding. We had a good laugh about it, and then when he turned to leave, I hit him over the head with a large piece of metal. Good times.

I seem to have developed a new nickname at work...Apparently with my new hair, I remind people of "Egon", from the Ghostbuster cartoon. Not the movies it seems, but the cartoon. I have cartoon-Egon hair. It's...Starting to get irritating.

uhhh...

I just finished World War Z, one of the two zombie books I picked up for myself before Christmas. I quite enjoyed it. If anybody wants to borrow it, I'm cool with that. It's a series of interviews from people that survived this war against the zombies. Interesting read. And yes, I'm aware that it's FICTION. Jackasses. There hasn't been any major war against the undead....yet.

Apparently the book has been picked up by Brad Pitt's production company, and it's gonna be made into a movie. Neat! I'm excited.

But moreso I'm just tired...And I wanna get up to play some FFXII before work tomorrow, so I'ma go to bed now.

Until next time,
If you were a Quisling, I would shoot you with a gun.

Waltz For The Moon

Hey there.

It's been a dull, dull week at work. E-Coat was down, which is the part of the factory that paints everything, so we weren't really able to do much on a couple days. All the racks were full, and couldn't be painted, so we had nowhere to put new frames. On one of the days, we literally produced zero frames. We spent eight hours cleaning. *groans loudly*

The work-week started late, as we had Monday off, but we had to work a Saturday shift, so it was similar to a normal week. But yeah, 'nuff about work.

I hate Rick's mother. She kicked him out because of some stupid work thing. It's...Ridiculous. But in the end, it'll probably be better for Rick. He's living with his dad now, so he won't have to deal with the crazy bitch of a mother he has, or her asshole boyfriend. And I've never heard anything but good things about his dad, so yeah.

So yeah...

I got a haircut. WACKY!

Really short. Rick's like...The only one that's seen it so far. So keep an eye out, you might not recognize me next time you see me.

I'd like to write more, but I'm incredibly tired, and want sleep. I'm about to be switched over to afternoons, so I'll be working three to eleven, basically, so I'll probably have some on-line time when I'm getting home from work, so I'll probably start posting more often. Yes.

Until next time,
Flightless birds scare the crap out of me.

The Lion's Tail

Hey there, tiny people that inhabit the world of my imagination.

Nate here.

Just got back from Seth's, where I spent the last few days. It was fun.

But before that, was Christmas. It was good. I mostly got clothes and junk, but I bought myself a whole bunch of stuff beforehand. Like...Six games, some books, and possibly some other stuff. Plus I got Christmas presents for other people. Yeah.

Wednesday was more entertaining. It began with hanging out with Jared and Kate at Kate's place, baking cookies and playing a board game. I rofl-pwned Jared at Masterpiece. rofl-pwned him good. I bet he's still aching from that rofl-pwning he got. Kate's brother is very...Protective. It's kind of scary. But not really.

Then we dropped Jared off at work, and Kate and I went to the mall. Bought a DS Lite and some shirts. It was fun. I hadn't hung out with Kate in like...forever, so it was good seeing her. Then I bought her dinner at Swiss Chalet, 'cause I'm so awesome. It was fun too.

Yeah. But it also raised another issue to my attention.

WOMEN'S FASHION IS CRAZY.

Kate took me to a bunch of girl's store clothes so she could find something she'd like, and damn. All of the articles of clothing were tiny. Which, you know, is normal these days. But for that little fabric, you pay a crazy sum. One thing she looked at was like...seventy-five dollars or something. That's insane. I wouldn't pay that much for a single article of clothing. I much prefer my twenty-dollar-ish shirts. It's not insanely cheap, it's not crazy-expensive, it works for me.

But yeah. Women's fashion is freakin' nuts.

Then the next day, there was a Lord of the Rings marathon with Eric, Andrew, Dave, and myself, at a house where Eric's house-sitting. He wasn't supposed to have people spending the night, so we started the marathon hella-early, and finished around one in the morning to head out. It was a lot of fun. There was a lot of joking going on, as per usual. And this LotR marathon wasn't ruined by crazy bitches. It was...Refreshing.

Then I went to Seth's, and spent the last few days there. It was good. Scott was visiting over the break from university, and we all hung out. Watchin' movies with Seth, going to the mall with Scott, fighting ninjas with the man that secretly lives in their basement. His name is Alden. He has a cool hat.

But yeah, it was good. We watched a bunch of movies. Last night, being New Year's Eve, Seth and I just hung out around his place and watched more movies. Clerks 2, which was actually quite disappointing. I'd heard such good things, I expected it to be a lot better...Then we watched A Walk to Remember, which has become Seth's new favourite movie for some reason. Mandy Moore, meh. The movie itself wasn't as bad as I assumed it would be, so I wasn't entirely disappointed, but it was still a Mandy Moore movie...Then we watched Mozart and the Whale, which was really good. It's about...Autistic people. That fall in love. Yeah. Sounds weird, but watch it.

Anyways, I'm gonna head off now, 'cause I'm tired and hungry and want to play Final Fantasy XII.

Until next time,
She's a harlot!
